Many accomplished and proven brand executives are exploring the advantages of Social Marketing, when reviewing the trends of the subject, as we see it as an advertising medium. While participating in a discussions on the topic, within blogs and professional networks, many find evidence of a powerful brand management application.
What is now defined as Social Marketing, was previously thought of by marketers as a way to reach the 12-24 year old demographic, has become a definite line item of the brand management budget. Other than a necessary participation of brand marketing employees and time involved, the Social Marketing line item is one that will decrease costs to the budget.
We are past the point of debate on whether or not Social Marketing should be part of the brand management advertising and marketing budget. Now we must consider the application as it is necessary to the education of company employees. Brand marketing and research employees will continue to use Social Marketing as a forum to communicate with consumers. Within that forum, brand marketers will continue education with no tuition fees!
